Job opening: Building Physics & Façades graduate Engineer/Architect

Inform Design is a consulting practice with an international portfolio; we are involved in prestigious buildings in Scandinavia and UK and work alongside high-profile Architects. We are a specialized consultancy in Building Physics & Façades, delivering innovative solutions that meet solar performance targets, maximize daylight, and are aligned with the Architectural intent.

We’re looking for a motivated professional who is eager to tackle complex challenges and contribute to cutting-edge projects to join our team.

Training and Development:

As a graduate engineer, you will engage in a robust training program focused on steady-state and dynamic thermal modelling. This position offers the chance to master advanced tools and gain a thorough understanding of their role in optimizing facade design, preparing you to contribute meaningfully to high-performance building solutions.

Project Responsibilities:

Under the guidance of our experienced engineers, you will contribute to both Swedish and International projects. This role offers exposure to the intersection of engineering and design, providing valuable insight into how Building Physics informs critical envelope decisions across project phases. Your work will directly influence performance and design outcomes.

Qualifications and Skills: 

  • Fundamental knowledge of glazing properties (e.g., U-value, g-value, LT) and an interest in Dynamic Thermal Modelling and Daylight Assessments. 

  • Experience with Dynamic Thermal Modelling tools is advantageous (e.g. IDA ICE, Design Builder). 

  • Familiarity with Grasshopper is highly desirable, including: (a) script utilization, (b) input/output adjustments, and (c) creation of result visualizations. 

  • Knowledge of Ladybug Tools 1.4.0, particularly for solar gains and daylight assessments, is a strong asset.
